A well-designed workplace should be more than efficient—it should feel balanced. The role of light is to make that balance perceptible while supporting the natural rhythm of the space throughout the day.

The lighting design for this office project in Istanbul was developed through a holistic approach that complements the architecture’s restrained language while enhancing the overall workplace experience. The changing character of natural daylight is supported by carefully controlled layers of artificial lighting, creating a calm and balanced atmosphere that provides a consistent level of comfort throughout the day.

Each area of the workplace was designed with its own lighting language, tailored to its specific function. Balanced contrasts between collaborative workspaces, meeting rooms, and individual work areas establish a natural flow that allows users to intuitively experience the rhythm of the space without overt direction. The objective was not to create lighting that demands attention, but to shape an atmosphere that instinctively supports focus, comfort, and well-being.

In this project, light was treated not merely as a technical requirement for visibility, but as an invisible layer of design that deepens the simplicity of the architecture, reveals the character of the materials, and quietly enriches the overall user experience.
